The Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Legislative Caucus Annual Meeting was held over the weekend. Highlights included an Architectural Cruise on the Chicago River and updates on the Great Lakes area.
I really enjoyed the Architectural Cruise on the Chicago’s First Lady. The speaker gave details on many of the buildings. The Wrigley Building is my favorite. Also high on my list is the building that has characteristics of the river and the one that resembles a champagne bottle.
Lynne Heasley, the author of THE ACCIDENTAL REEF AND OTHER ECOLOGICAL ODYSSEYS IN THE GREAT LAKES, spoke to us. She presents from different perspectives and I think you would find her book interesting.
